Revealing God's Treasure - Ark of the Covenant
"Revealing God's Treasure - Ark of the Covenant"
American archaeologist Ron Wyatt shares incredible information about the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant! The Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem in 1980 made the same claims that Ron Wyatt later stated. The next great unveiling will be the recovery of the Ark of the Covenant.
HOW WILL REVIVAL COME?
Revival will not come through promotions.
Revival will not come through hot dog suppers.
Revival will not come through bringing in a special guest
or a group of evangelists.
Revival will come when God's people
begin to pray, pray, pray and pray.
Revival will not come through hot dog suppers.
Revival will not come through bringing in a special guest
or a group of evangelists.
Revival will come when God's people
begin to pray, pray, pray and pray.

The Imminent Middle East War - Psalm 83/Book of Obadiah
click on video
lThe next war in the Middle East is imminent! This war WILL NOT be the war of Ezekiel 38 - 39. It will be the leading cause of the God/Magog War mentioned in Ezekiel 39-39 (Russia and her allies).
The imminent war is prophesied in Psalms 83 and the Book of Obadiah. The war will involve the Islamic Arabic nations of Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Gaza, Saudi Arabia, the Palestine Authority and allies attacking Israel. This will be an all-out attempt to totally crush the Jewish State. According to these prophecies, these Arabic nations will be completely destroyed by a weapon of fire. In the prophecy of Ezekiel 38, you find NO mention of these nations attacking Israel. Why?......because they do not exist. They have been previously destroyed. Israel will "possess her possessions." This means that after the destruction of these Arabic nations, Israel will possess the entire land promised by God to her. That covers the majority of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and portions of the Saudi Arabia. She will possess the Middle East oil and the complete wealth of the Dead Sea. Israel will become the world's new super power. This will offset the balance of power against Russia and her sphere of influence. She will not permit this to stand, which will result in the War of Gog/Magog prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39.
Current news points to the fact that the Arabic-Israeli War of Psalms 83 and Obadiah is at hand! Jesus IS coming soon!!

From Corruption to Revival: A Town's Radical Change
The"Pain Prescription Drug Capital of America," Manchester, Kentucky, has been radically changed by the divine intervention of revival. The Body of Christ rose up to retake their community from the rampant drug trade, corruption, and wickedness. Drug dealers either "got saved or were busted." An entire region of Appalachia was turned "right-side up!" A documentary, "Appalachian Dawn," has been made of this incredible awakening and is being shown across the nation. The long prophesied "Coming Great Awakening in Appalachia" has begun!
The Thanksgiving Spoon
by Michael Edds
One such legend has existed in my wife Jean's family for 15 generations. The story centers on an old silver spoon, which has been handed down to the youngest daughter of each generation in her family. So the tale goes, the spoon came over on the Mayflower in the possession of one of its passengers, Stephen Hopkins. However, lost in the mists of time has been the reason for giving the spoon to the youngest female in each generation. My wife's Aunt Re is the current possessor and protector of this intriguing heirloom. Being skeptical and certain that my wife's lineage could not be finer than mine, I researched her genealogical connection to Hopkins and looked for evidence of the spoon in his day. To my chagrin, I discovered that in fact my wife was a direct descendant of Hopkins and that he and his family were bona fide passengers on the Mayflower. I was married to a blue blood! However, I still found no record of a silver spoon.
So, I continued my quest. As I researched Hopkins in depth, what an incredible character began to unfold before me! Stephen was not the typical Puritan, or a Puritan at all! He was a native of Hampshire, England. He married his first wife, Mary, in the parish of Hursley, Hampshire; he and wife Mary had their children - Elizabeth, Constance, and Giles - all baptized there. Constance was my wife Jean's ancestor. Hopkins went on the ship Sea Venture heading to Jamestown, Va., in 1609 as a minister's clerk, but the ship wrecked at the "Isle of Devils" in the Bermudas. Stranded on an island for 10 months, the passengers and crew survived on turtles, birds and wild pigs. After months as a castaway, Stephen and others organized a mutiny against the leader. The mutiny was discovered, and Stephen was sentenced to death. However, he pleaded with tears. "So penitent he was, and made so much moan, alleging the ruin of his wife and children in this, his trespass, as it wrought in the hearts of all the better sorts of the company," an aged account says. He managed to get his sentence commuted. Interestingly, Shakespeare wrote a play, "The Tempest," around 1611 with an insurrectionist character called Stefano, who many believe was patterned after Stephen Hopkins. Eventually the castaways built a small ship and sailed themselves to Jamestown. How long Stephen remained in Jamestown is not known. However, while he was gone, his wife Mary died. She was buried in Hursley on 9 May 1613, and left behind a probate estate that mentions her children, Elizabeth, Constance and Giles.
Stephen was back in England by 1617, when he married Elizabeth Fisher. Their first child, Damaris, was born about 1618. In 1620, Stephen Hopkins brought his wife and children Constance, Giles and Damaris on the Mayflower. Stephen was a fairly active member of the Pilgrims after arrival, perhaps he was one of the few who had been to Virginia previously. He was a part of all the early exploring missions and was used almost as an expert on Native Americans for the first few contacts. While exploring, Stephen recognized and identified an Indian deer trap. When the Native American leader Samoset walked into Plymouth and welcomed the English, he was housed in Hopkins' house for the night. Stephen was also sent on several missions to meet various Indian groups in the region. Accompanied by legendary Native American guide Squanto, Hopkins brought gifts to seal a friendship with the chief.
Stephen was a signer of the historic Mayflower Compact, an ancestor of our present Constitution. Stephen was an assistant to the governor through 1636 and volunteered for the Pequot War of 1637 but was never called to serve. By the late 1630s, however, Stephen began to run afoul of Plymouth authorities, as he apparently opened up a shop and served alcohol. In 1636 he got into a fight with John Tisdale and seriously wounded him. In 1637, he was fined for allowing drinking and shuffleboard playing on Sunday. Early the next year, he was fined for allowing people to drink excessively. In 1638 he was twice fined for selling beer at twice the actual value, and in 1639 he was fined for selling a looking glass for twice what it would cost if bought in the Bay Colony. Also in 1638, Hopkins' maidservant Dorothy got pregnant by Arthur Peach, who was subsequently executed for murdering an Indian. The Plymouth Court ruled that Hopkins was financially responsible for her and her child for the next two years (the amount remaining on her term of indentured service). Stephen, in contempt of court, threw Dorothy out and refused to provide for her, so the court committed him to custody. John Holmes stepped in and purchased Dorothy's remaining two years of service, agreeing to support her and her child.
Stephen began to change his ways in the 1650s. He became friends with Captain Miles Standish who used his home and property to be the colony's arsenal and courthouse. Stephen remained close friends not only with Standish but with William Bradford. Both were witnesses and signers of his will. Hopkins died between June 1644, when his will was made, and July 1644, when the inventory of his estate was taken.
After searching through many historical documents, I still could not locate "the spoon." Finally, I found Hopkins' detailed will on the Pilgrim Hall Museum Web site. As I read through this lengthy document I came across the following lines: "Also I do give and bequeath unto my foure daughters, that is to say Deborah Hopkins, Damaris Hopkins, Ruth Hopkins and Elizabeth Hopkins, all the mooveable goods the wch do belong to my house. As linnen wollen beds bedcloathes pott kettles pewter or whatsoevr are moveable belonging to my said house of what kynd soever and not named by their prticular names all wch said mooveables to bee equally devided amongst my said daughters foure silver spoones that is to say to eich of them one, And in case any of my said daughters should be taken away by death before they be marryed that then the part of their division to be equally devided amongst the Survivors."
I had found the spoon! In fact, four silver spoons were given to his four youngest daughters. However, how did my wife's ancestor, Constance, the fifth and oldest daughter, come to possess one of the spoons? They were left to her four younger sisters. Searching deeper, I found the probable answer, thanks to William Bradford, one of the colony's famous leaders. He wrote in 1650: "Mr. Hopkins and his wife are now both dead, but they lived above twenty years in this place and had one son and four daughters born here. Their son became a seaman and died at Barbadoes, one daughter died here and two are married; one of them hath two children, and one is yet to marry. So their increase which still survive are five. But his son Giles is married and hath four children. His daughter Constance is also married and hath twelve children, all of them living and one of them married." One daughter had died - that was my answer! According to Stephen's will, if any died, her share was to be divided among the others. Constance, the eldest, inherited the spoon from her deceased younger sister!
What an incredible journey through time the spoon had led me! No doubt that old spoon was used at that first Thanksgiving meal. Maybe the hand of Miles Standish, or William Bradford or maybe Squanto held it. Could it have been the serving spoon for mashed potatoes, corn or stuffing? Whatever its use, it was there on that first Thanksgiving table 375 years ago when two vastly different peoples joined together to give thanks unto a most gracious God. The old spoon will be polished again for this Thanksgiving meal at Aunt Re's house. It again will be in the hand of a distant daughter of Stephen Hopkins. It again will be present where a sumptuous meal will be served and heartfelt prayers of thanksgiving will be given.

“GUARDIANS OF THE HOLY FIRE”
by Michael Edds
Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said to the Apostles, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
Matthew 24:24-25 “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.”
Christians have entered the "perilous times" foretold by the Apostle Paul long ago. Knowing that his time is short, Satan has declared full scale war against the Church. In this time of the approaching Final Great Awakening, he is mustering his forces and polishing his arsenal of diabolical weaponry. His goal is to stop or wreck the End Time harvest of souls. Christ warned that false "christs" and false prophets would arise performing incredible signs and wonders and would deceive many. Yet, He also said that signs and wonders would follow them that believe. This requires great discernment!
Throughout the history of the Church, we discover that a reoccurring pattern..... "when God moves, Satan counter moves." Satan's greatest weapons are infiltration and deception. Whatever God does, Satan creates a deceptive counterfeit. He does this to discredit what God is doing.
Jonathan Edwards, one of the great leaders of the First Great Awakening, wrote...“It is by the mixture of counterfeit religion with true, not discerned and distinguished, that the devil has had his greatest advantage against the cause and kingdom of Christ… It is by this means, principally, that he has prevailed against all reviving of religion....since the first founding of the Christian church."
John Wesley gave warning when he wrote, "At the first, revival is true and pure, but after a few weeks watch for counterfeits."
The battle between the forces of God and those of Satan has escalated into ALL-OUT WAR!! The move of God has begun. True signs and wonders are being manifested. However, there has also been a massive increase in counterfeit signs and wonders. The Church must equip itself with great discernment in order to distinguish the difference between God's signs and wonders and those of Satan. Thousands in many Charismatic churches have fallen into deceptive and Satanic signs and wonders. It is astonishing!!
How can we decide what is of God and what is of Satan? The Lord has provided us with the wisdom to keep from falling prey to the enemy. In the discernment of signs and wonders, we need to heed the following guidelines.
HOW TO DISCERN BETWEEN THE REAL and COUNTERFEIT SIGNS AND WONDERS.....
o Is the manifestation the Holy Spirit or Humanism? Humanism says “How does it bless, affect, gratify me? What’s in it for me?" That of the Holy Spirit states “How does it bless, affect, please, or minister to God?
o What is the Focus? Does the manifestation make me or God the focal point? Is the focus upward or outward? Does it draw attention to me or to God?
o Edification: Does the manifestation edify just me or the Church: 1st Corinthians 14:12 states “ Even so ye, inasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying." The manifestation should be a blessing to others in the Church.
o Orderly: 1st Corinthians 14:40 “Let all things be done decently and in order.” Vs. 23 states that if we fail in this area, people will think we are mad or crazy. Orderly means that the manifestation is:
a. Controllable: Any manifestation that is beyond my control or that I cannot stop is not of God. Paul states in 1st Corinthian 14:32 “And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.” We are not puppets. God will not violate our self will.
b. Confusion: 1st Corinthians 14:33 “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” A manifestation of God does not bring massive confusion in the Body of Christ.
c. Is the manifestation a "symphony"(a harmonious blending of different beautiful sounds) or a "cacophony" (a harsh, repulsive, discordant mixture of noise and sounds). Does it draw people to God or repulse them?
o Modest: Is it decent, beautiful, holy, not extreme, not call attention to self, not ostentatious, does not violate moral code?
o Above Reproach: Are my life and my worship congruent? Does my lifestyle contradict the manifestation or am I living a holy life? Like the disciples, will people say that they can see that "We have been with Jesus?”
o Is it Scriptural? Are there scriptural references for this manifestation in the Word of God? The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” His Word gives us direction and illumination in all things. Psalms 119 warns us to “try the spirits to see if they be of God.” We test them based upon the Word of God.
o Private Worship or Public Worship? There are intimate experiences/conversations that we have we have with our mates that are not for public display. It would cause confusion and embarrassment. Likewise, there are private encounters and experiences with God, which are not for public display. It is for our personal edification. Otherwise, in public it would not be understood and cause confusion. We must determine what is for private worship and what is for public.
o I am following something or is it following me? Mark 16:17 “These signs shall follow them that believe.” Jesus Christ is the "Prime Product," while signs and wonders are the "By - Product." Signs are a result or by - product of being with Christ. Are we pursing Him or what He does? Matthew 16:4 “A wicked and an adulterous generation seeks after a sign. Our primary object should not be seeking signs but seeking Him. Paul said in Philippians 3:10 “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.”
o Do the signs and wonders lead people to Christ? Do they draw people closer to God and to give God the glory or are they just drawing fascinated thrill seekers?
Throughout the generations of the church, Satan has used the same weapons... that of infiltration and counterfeit manifestations to discredit and destroy the authentic move of God. He is doing the same today.
During the time of the Tabernacle in the wilderness, Moses and Aaron would take censers and gather up holy fire that had descended from God, which had burnt up the sacrifice. This holy fire would be mingled with incense and taken into the sacred space of the tabernacle. They were guardians of this holy fire.
Aaron's two sons tried to imitate this by taking "strange fire" or unholy fire and mingling it with incense. Fire came from God and destroyed both of the men!
We must be Guardians of the Holy Fire in this hour. We do not want to inhibit true manifestations, signs and wonders from God. These are divine witnesses to a world collapsing under the weight of sin. On the fringes of every move of God, Satan will commence counterfeit signs and wonders. It is when these fringe elements seek to take control of the move of God that we must take a strong stand to stop it. We cannot allow them to discredit and destroy this Final End-time Revival. We must try the spirits to see if they be of God. Otherwise, the entire move of God will be destroyed and countless souls lost.
The Final Harvest is at hand. God is restoring the church to the glory of the Early Church. Satanic forces are gathering to oppose and stop this End Time Awakening. He will infiltrate with lying signs and deceptive wonders. He will deceive the very elect of God if possible. We must discern all manifestations to see if they be of God. It is "holy fire" or "strange fire?" We are Guardians of the Holy Fire!

Prayer and Revival – J. Edwin Orr
Prayer and Revival
J. Edwin Orr
Dr A. T. Pierson once said, ‘There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer.’ Let me recount what God has done through concerted, united, sustained prayer. Not many people realize that in the wake of the American Revolution (following 1776-1781) there was a moral slump. Drunkenness became epidemic. Out of a population of five million, 300,000 were confirmed drunkards; Profanity was of the most shocking kind. For the first time in the history of the American settlement, women were afraid to go out at night for fear of assault. Bank robberies were a daily occurrence.
What about the churches? The Methodists were losing more members than they were gaining. The Baptists said that they had their most wintry season. The Presbyterians in general assembly deplored the nation’s ungodliness. In a typical Congregational church, the Rev. Samuel Shepherd of Lennos, Massachusetts in sixteen years had not taken one young person into fellowship. The Lutherans were so languishing that they discussed uniting with Episcopalians who were even worse off. The Protestant Episcopal Bishop of New York, Bishop Samuel Provost, quit functioning; he had confirmed no one for so long that he decided he was out of work, so he took up other employment. The Chief Justice of the United States, John Marshall, wrote to the Bishop of Virginia, James Madison, that the Church ‘was too far gone ever to be redeemed.’ Voltaire averred and Tom Paine echoed, ‘Christianity will be forgotten in thirty years.
Take the liberal arts colleges at that time. A poll taken at Harvard had discovered not one believer in the whole student body. They took a poll at Princeton, a much more evangelical place, where they discovered only two believers in the student body, and only five that did not belong to the filthy speech movement of that day. Students rioted. They held a mock communion at Williams College, and they put on antiChristian plays at Dartmouth. They burned down the Nassau Hall at Princeton. They forced the resignation of the president of Harvard. They took a Bible out of a local Presbyterian church in New Jersey, and they burnt it in a public bonfire. Christians were so few on campus in the 1790′s that they met in secret, like a communist cell, and kept their minutes in code so that no one would know.
How did the situation change? It came through a concert of prayer.
There was a Scottish Presbyterian minister in Edinburgh named John Erskine, who published a Memorial (as he called it) pleading with the people of Scotland and elsewhere to unite in prayer for the revival of religion. He sent one copy of this little book to Jonathan Edwards in New England. The great theologian was so moved he wrote a response which grew longer than a letter, so that finally he published it is a book entitled ‘A Humble Attempt to Promote Explicit Agreement and Visible Union of all God’s People in Extraordinary Prayer for the Revival of Religion and the Advancement of Christ’s Kingdom on Earth, pursuant to Scripture Promises and Prophecies…’ Is not this what is missing so much from all our evangelistic efforts: explicit agreement, visible unity, unusual prayer?
1792-1800
This movement had started in Britain through William Carey, Andrew Fuller and John Sutcliffe and other leaders who began what the British called the Union of Prayer. Hence, the year after John Wesley died (1791), the second great awakening began and swept Great Britain.
In New England, there was a man of prayer named Isaac Backus, a Baptist pastor, who in 1794, when conditions were at their worst, addressed an urgent plea for prayer for revival to pastors of every Christian denomination in the United States. Churches knew that their backs were to the wall. All the churches adopted the plan until America, like Britain was interlaced with a network of prayer meetings, which set aside the first Monday of each month to pray. It was not long before revival came.
When the revival reached the frontier in Kentucky, it encountered a people really wild and irreligious. Congress had discovered that in Kentucky there had not been more than one court of justice held in five years. Peter Cartwright, Methodist evangelist, wrote that when his father had settled in Logan County, it was known as Rogue’s Harbour. The decent people in Kentucky formed regiments of vigilantes to fight for law and order, then fought a pitched battle with outlaws and lost.
There was a Scotch-Irish Presbyterian minister named James McGready whose chief claim to fame was that he was so ugly that he attracted attention. McGready settled in Logan County, pastor of three little churches. He wrote in his diary that the winter of 1799 for the most part was ‘weeping and mourning with the people of God.’ Lawlessness prevailed everywhere.
McGready was such a man of prayer that not only did he promote the concert of prayer every first Monday of the month, but he got his people to pray for him at sunset on Saturday evening and sunrise Sunday morning. Then in the summer of 1800 come the great Kentucky revival. Eleven thousand people came to a communion service. McGready hollered for help, regardless of denomination.
Out of that second great awakening, came the whole modern missionary movement and it’s societies. Out of it came the abolition of slavery, popular education, Bible Societies, Sunday Schools, and many social benefits accompanying the evangelistic drive.
1858-1860
Following the second great awakening, which began in 1792 just after the death of John Wesley and continued into the turn of the century, conditions again deteriorated. This is illustrated from the United States. The country was seriously divided over the issue of slavery, and second, people were making money lavishly.
In September 1857, a man of prayer, Jeremiah Lanphier, started a businessmen’s prayer meeting in the upper room of the Dutch Reformed Church Consistory Building in Manhattan. In response to his advertisement, only six people out of a population of a million showed up. But the following week there were fourteen, and then twenty-three when it was decided to meet everyday for prayer. By late winter they were filling the Dutch Reformed Church, then the Methodist Church on John Street, then Trinity Episcopal Church on Broadway at Wall Street. In February and March of 1858, every church and public hall in down town New York was filled.
Horace Greeley, the famous editor, sent a reporter with horse and buggy racing round the prayer meetings to see how many men were praying. In one hour he could get to only twelve meetings, but he counted 6,100 men attending. Then a landslide of prayer began, which overflowed to the churches in the evenings. People began to be converted, ten thousand a week in New York City alone. The movement spread throughout New England, the church bells bringing people to prayer at eight in the morning, twelve noon, and six in the evening. The revival raced up the Hudson and down the Mohawk, where the Baptists, for example, had so many people to baptize that they went down to the river, cut a big hole in the ice, and baptized them in the cold water. When Baptists do that they are really on fire!
When the revival reached Chicago, a young shoe salesman went to the superintendent of the Plymouth Congregational Church, and asked if he might teach Sunday School. The superintendent said, ‘I am sorry, young fellow. I have sixteen teachers too many, but I will put you on the waiting list.’
The young man insisted, ‘I want to do something just now.’ ’Well, start a class.’ ‘How do I start a class?’ ’Get some boys off the street but don’t bring them here. Take them out into the country and after a month you will have control of them, so bring them in. They will be your class.’ He took them to a beach on Lake Michigan and he taught them Bible verses and Bible games. Then he took them to the Plymouth Congregational Church. The name of that young man was Dwight Lyman Moody, and that was the beginning of a ministry that lasted forty years.
Trinity Episcopal Church in Chicago had a hundred and twenty-one members in 1857; fourteen hundred in 1860. That was typical of the churches. More than a million people were converted to God in one year out of a population of thirty million. Then that same revival jumped the Atlantic, appeared in Ulster, Scotland and Wales, then England, parts of Europe, South Africa and South India anywhere there was an evangelical cause. It sent mission pioneers to many countries. Effects were felt for forty years. Having begun in a movement of prayer, it was sustained by a movement of prayer.
1904-1905
That movement lasted for a generation, but at the turn of the century there was need of awakening again. A general movement of prayer began, with special prayer meetings at Moody Bible Institute, at Keswick Conventions in England, and places as far apart as Melbourne, Wonsan in Korea, and the Nilgiri Hills of India. So all around the world believers were praying that there might be another great awakening in the twentieth century.
In the revival of 1905, I read of a young man who became a famous professor, Kenneth Scott Latourette. He reported that, at Yale in 1905, 25% of the student body were enrolled in prayer meetings and in Bible study. As far as churches were concerned, the ministers of Atlantic City reported that of a population of fifty thousand there were only fifty adults left unconverted. Take Portland in Oregon: two hundred and forty major stores closed from 11 to 2 each day to enable people to attend prayer meetings, signing an agreement so that no one would cheat and stay open. Take First Baptist Church of Paducah in Kentucky: the pastor, an old man, Dr J. J. Cheek, took a thousand members in two months and died of overwork, the Southern Baptists saying, ‘a glorious ending to a devoted ministry.’ That is what was happening in the United States in 1905. But how did it begin?
Most people have heard of the Welsh Revival which started in 1904. It began as a movement of prayer. Seth Joshua, the Presbyterian evangelist, came to Newcastle Emlyn College where a former coal miner, Evan Roberts aged 26, was studying for the ministry. The students were so moved that they asked if they could attend Joshua’s next campaign nearby. So they canceled classes to go to Blaenanerch where Seth Joshua prayed publicly, ‘O God, bend us.’ Roberts went forward where he prayed with great agony, ‘O God, bend me.’ Upon his return he could not concentrate on his studies. He went to the principal of his college and explained, ‘I keep hearing a voice that tells me I must go home and speak to our young people in my home church. Principal Phillips, is that the voice of the devil or the voice of the Spirit?’
Principal Phillips answered wisely, ‘The devil never gives orders like that. You can have a week off.’ So he went back home to Loughor and announced to the pastor, ‘I’ve come to preach.’ The pastor was not at all convinced, but asked, ‘How about speaking at the prayer meeting on Monday?’ He did not even let him speak to the prayer meeting, but told the praying people, ‘Our young brother, Evan Roberts, feels he has a message for you if you care to wait.’ Seventeen people waited behind, and were impressed with the directness of the young man’s words. Evan Roberts told his fellow members, ‘I have a message for you from God.
- You must confess any known sin to God and put any wrong done to others right.
- Second, you must put away any doubtful habit.
- Third, you must obey the Spirit promptly.
- Finally, you must confess your faith in Christ publicly.’
‘Great crowds of people drawn to Loughor.’ The main road between Llanelly and Swansea on which the church was situated was packed with people trying to get into the church. Shopkeepers closed early to find a place in the big church. Now the news was out. A reporter was sent down and he described vividly what he saw: a strange meeting which closed at 4.25 in the morning, and even then people did not seem willing to go home. There was a very British summary: ‘I felt that this was no ordinary gathering.’ Next day, every grocery shop in that industrial valley was emptied of groceries by people attending the meetings, and on Sunday every church was filled.
The movement went like a tidal wave over Wales, in five months there being a hundred thousand people converted throughout the country. Five years later, Dr J. V. Morgan wrote a book to debunk the revival, his main criticism being that, of a hundred thousand joining the churches in five months of excitement, after five years only seventy-five thousand still stood in the membership of those churches!
The social impact was astounding. For example, judges were presented with white gloves, not a case to try; no robberies, no burglaries, no rapes, no murders, and no embezzlement, nothing. District councils held emergency meetings to discuss what to do with the police now that they were unemployed. In one place the sergeant of police was sent for and asked, ‘What do you do with your time?’ He replied, ‘Before the revival, we had two main jobs, to prevent crime and to control crowds, as at football games. Since the revival started there is practically no crime. So we just go with the crowds.’
A councilor asked, ‘What does that mean?’ The sergeant replied, ‘You know where the crowds are. They are packing out the churches.’ ’But how does that affect the police?’ He was told, ‘We have seventeen police in our station, but we have three quartets, and if any church wants a quartet to sing, they simply call the police station.’
As the revival swept Wales, drunkenness was cut in half. There was a wave of bankruptcies, but nearly all taverns. There was even a slowdown in the mines, for so many Welsh coal miners were converted and stopped using bad language that the horses that dragged the coal trucks in the mines could not understand what was being said to them. That revival also affected sexual moral standards. I had discovered through the figures given by British government experts that in Radnorshire and Merionethshire the illegitimate birth rate had dropped 44% within a year of the beginning of the revival.
The revival swept Britain, Scandinavia, Germany, North America, Australasia, Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Chile. As always, it began through a movement of prayer.

Delia Knox walks on stage and sings at Bay of the Holy Spirit Revival
Delia Knox Walks on Stage!
Delia suffered extensive damage to her spine 23 years ago, leaving her totally paralyzed from the waist down. In October 2010 at a revival meeting in Mobile, Alabama, she was miraculously healed. Eight weeks later, she walked onto the stage at the site of her healing and began to sing. PRAISE THE LORD!!! OUR GOD REIGNS!!

Where are the Elijahs of God?
The prophet in his day is fully accepted of God and totally rejected by men. Years back, Dr. Gregory Mantle was right when he said, "No man can be fully accepted until he is totally rejected." The prophet of the Lord is aware of both these experiences. They are his "brand name." The group, challenged by the prophet because they are smug and comfortably insulated from a perishing world in their warm but untested theology, is not likely to vote him "Man of the year" when he refers to them as habituates of the synagogue of Satan!
The prophet comes to set up that which is upset. His work is to call into line those who are out of line! He is unpopular because he opposes the popular in morality and spirituality. In a day of faceless politicians and voiceless preachers, there is not a more urgent national need than that we cry to God for a prophet!
The function of the prophet, as Austin-Sparks once said, "has almost always been that of recovery." The prophet is God's detective seeking for a lost treasure. The degree of his effectiveness is determined by his measure of unpopularity. Compromise is not known to him. He has no price tags. He is totally "otherworldly."
He is unquestionably controversial and unpardonably hostile. He marches to another drummer! He breathes the rarefied air of inspiration. He is a "seer" who comes to lead the blind. He lives in the heights of God and comes into the valley with a "thus saith the Lord." He shares some of the foreknowledge of God and so is aware of impending judgment. He lives in "splendid isolation." He is forthright and outright, but he claims no birthright. His message is "repent, be reconciled to God or else...!" His prophecies are parried. His truth brings torment, but his voice is never void. He is the villain of today and the hero of tomorrow.
He is excommunicated while alive and exalted when dead! He is dishonored with epithets when breathing and honored with epitaphs when dead. He is a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, but few "make the grade" in his class. He is friendless while living and famous when dead. He is against the establishment in ministry; then he is established as a saint by posterity.
He eats daily the bread of affliction while he ministers, but he feeds the Bread of Life to those who listen. He walks before men for days but has walked before God for years. He is a scourge to the nation before he is scourged by the nation. He announces, pronounces, and denounces! He has a heart like a volcano and his words are as fire. He talks to men about God. He carries the lamp of truth amongst heretics while he is lampooned by men. He faces God before he faces men, but he is self-effacing. He hides with God in the secret place, but he has nothing to hide in the marketplace.
He is naturally sensitive but supernaturally spiritual. He has passion, purpose and pugnacity. He is ordained of God but disdained by men. Our national need at this hour is not that the dollar recover its strength, or that we save face over the Watergate affair, or that we find the answer to the ecology problem.
We need a God-sent prophet! I am bombarded with talk or letters about the coming shortages in our national life: bread, fuel, energy. I read between the lines from people not practiced in scaring folk. They feel that the "seven years of plenty" are over for us. The "seven years of famine" are ahead. But the greatest famine of all in this nation at this given moment is a FAMINE OF THE HEARING OF THE WORDS OF GOD (Amos 8:11). Millions have been spent on evangelism in the last twenty-five years. Hundreds of gospel messages streak through the air over the nation every day. Crusades have been held; healing meetings have made a vital contribution. "Come-outers" have "come out" and settled, too, without a nation-shaking revival. Organizers we have. Skilled preachers abound. Multi-million dollar Christian organizations straddle the nation. BUT where, oh where, is the prophet? Where are the incandescent men fresh from the holy place? Where is the Moses to plead in fasting before the holiness of the Lord for our moldy morality, our political perfidy, and sour and sick spirituality?
GOD'S MEN ARE IN HIDING UNTIL THE DAY OF THEIR SHOWING FORTH. They will come. The prophet is violated during his ministry, but he is vindicated by history. There is a terrible vacuum in evangelical Christianity today. The missing person in our ranks is the prophet.
The man with a terrible earnestness! The man totally otherworldly! The man rejected by other men, even other good men, because they consider him too austere, too severely committed, too negative and unsociable!
Let him be as plain as John the Baptist. Let him for a season be a voice crying in the wilderness of modern theology and stagnant "churchianity." Let him be as selfless as Paul the apostle. Let him, too, say and live, "This ONE thing I do." Let him reject ecclesiastical favors. Let him be self-abasing, nonself-seeking, nonself-projecting, nonself- righteous, nonself- glorying, nonself-promoting. Let him say nothing that will draw men to himself but only that which will move men to God.
Let him come daily from the throne room of a holy God, the place where he has received the order of the day. Let him, under God, unstop the ears of the millions who are deaf through the clatter of shekels milked from this hour of material mesmerism. Let him cry with a voice this century has not heard because he has seen a vision no man in this century has seen. God send us this Moses to lead us from the wilderness of crass materialism, where the rattlesnakes of lust bite us and where enlightened men, totally blind spiritually, lead us to an ever-nearing Armageddon. God have mercy! Send us PROPHETS!
"Where are the ELIJAHS OF GOD?"
To the question, "Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" we answer, "Where He has always been - on the throne!" But where are the Elijahs of God? We know Elijah was "a man of like passions as we are," but alas! We are not men of like prayer as he was. One praying man stands as a majority with God! Today God is bypassing men - not because they are too ignorant, but because they are too self-sufficient.
Brethren, our abilities are our handicaps, and our talents our stumbling blocks! Out of obscurity, Elijah came on to the Old Testament stage, a full-grown man. Queen Jezebel, that daughter of hell, had routed the priests of God and replaced them with groves to false deities. Darkness covered the land and gross darkness the people, and they were drinking iniquity like water. Every day the land, fouled with heathen temples and idolatrous rites, saw smoke curling from a thousand cruel altars.
Elijah lived with God. He thought about the nation's sin like God; he grieved over sin like God; he spoke against sin like God. He was all passion in his prayers and passionate in his denunciation of evil in the land. He had no smooth preaching. Passion fired his preaching, and his words were on the hearts of men as molten metal on their flesh. Brethren, if we will do God's work in God's way, at God's time, with God's power, we shall have God's blessing and the devil's curses. When God opens the windows of heaven to bless us, the devil will open the doors of hell to blast us. God's smile means the devil's frown!
Mere preachers may help anybody and hurt nobody; but prophets will stir everybody and madden somebody. The preacher may go with the crowd; the prophet goes against it. A man freed, fired, and filled with God will be branded unpatriotic because he speaks against his nation's sins; unkind because his tongue is a two-edged sword; unbalanced because the weight of preaching opinion is against him.
Preachers make pulpits famous; prophets make prisons famous. The preacher will be heralded; the prophet hounded. Ah! brother preachers, we love the old saints, missionaries, martyrs, reformers: our Luthers, Bunyans, Wesleys, Asburys, etc. We will write their biographies, reverence their memories, frame their epitaphs, and build their monuments. We will do anything except imitate them. We cherish the last drop of their blood, but watch carefully the first drop of our own!
Oh, my ministering brethren! Much of our praying is but giving God advice. Our praying is discolored with ambition, either for ourselves or for our denomination. Perish the thought! Our goal must be God alone. It is His honor that is defiled, His blessed Son who is ignored, His laws broken, His name profaned, His book forgotten, His house made a circus of social efforts.
Does God ever need more patience with His people than when they are "praying"? We tell Him what to do and then how to do it. We pass judgments and make appreciations in our prayers. In short, we do everything except pray! No Bible school can teach us this art. What Bible school has "prayer" on its curriculum? The most important thing a man can study is the prayer part of the book. But where is this taught? Let us strip off the last bandage and declare that many of our presidents and teachers do not pray, shed no tears, know no travail. Can they teach what they do not know? The man who can get believers to praying would, under God, usher in the greatest revival that the world has ever known.
There is no fault in God. He is able. God "is able to do according to the power that worketh in us." God's problem today is not communism, nor yet Romanism, nor liberalism, nor modernism. God's problem is - dead fundamentalism! "So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew you out of my mouth." - Rev. 3:16
Sin today is both glamorized and popularized, thrown into the ear by radio, thrown into the eye by television, and splashed on popular magazine covers. Churchgoers, sermon-sick and teaching-tired, leave the meeting as they entered it - visionless and passionless!
Oh God, give this perishing generation ten thousand John the Baptists! Just as Moses could not mistake the sight of the burning bush, so a nation could not mistake the sight of a burning man!
God meets fire with fire. John the Baptist was a new man with a new message. As a man accused of murder hears the dread cry of the judge, "Guilty!" and pales at it, so the crowd heard John's cry, "Repent!" until it rang down the corridors of their minds, stirred memory, bowed the conscience and brought them terror-stricken to repentance and baptism!
After Pentecost, the onslaught of Peter, fresh from his fiery baptism of the Spirit, shook the crowd until as one man they cried out: "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Imagine someone telling these sin-stricken men, "Just sign a card! Attend church regularly! Pay your tithes!" No! A thousand times no!
"Oh, my God! If in our cultivated unbelief and our theological twilight and our spiritual powerlessness, we have grieved and are continuing to grieve Thy Holy Spirit, then in mercy spew us out of Thy mouth! If Thou cannot do something with us and through us, then please God, do something without us! Bypass us, and take up a people who have not yet known Thee!"

The Great Revival in Charleston, South Carolina, 1857
The Great Revival of 1857 in Charleston, South Carolina
In 1857, black and white believers met at the Anson Street Presbyterian Church in Charleston, South Carolina for prayer for revival. They fell on their faces, repented and then cried out to God for the salvation of loved ones and friends. They were desperate for a move of God in their city. All of a sudden, the heavens were rent over Charleston. God came down! Revival fire swept through the church and then the city. Shock waves went out from there to New York City, where Jeremiah Lamphier was praying in like manner at a Fulton Street church. Revival then swept New York City and then the nation. Within one year, one million souls were won to Christ. Churches were full and overflowing. A church in Beaufort, South Carolina received 400 new converts in three days!!
Believers in Charleston are praying for the reopening of this "old well of revival" in their city. God IS going to answer!!

REPENTANCE IS OUR ONLY HOPE! by David Wilkerson
"THE REJECTION OF THE CALL TO REPENTANCE IN THE LAST DAYS"
"This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it." Isaiah 30:15
We are living at the Time of the End. Prophecies are being fulfilled with rapidity! The Great Falling Away is upon us. Heaven is calling the church to repent. It is the time of the "five wise and five foolish virgins." God has given us the answer of the hour...."in repentance and rest is your salvation." Sadly, the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled before our eyes. Few are heeding the call to repent!
The Great Apostasy in The Last Days - David Wilkerson
The Great Apostasy - David Wilkerson
2Thes.2:3-4
Paul warned that in the time prior to the coming of Jesus Christ that it would be perilous times. He warned of an apostate church that would reject holiness, judgment and righteousness. It would be a time of a "feel good" Christianity, living the "good life," prosperity and success. There would be a turning away from scriptural teachings of sacrifice, laying down your life and suffering for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The seers would be told "Don't see visions!" Of the prophets it would be demanded, "Prophesy illusions!" Of the teachers it would be mandated, "Tickle our ears!" We have entered that dark time.
David Wilkerson, one of the few prophets of God in our time, exposes the darkness that has invaded the church. It is time for true believers to wake up. It is the time of great deception that was prophesied would come upon the earth. We must stand for and preach the truth. We must expose the darkness. The coming of the Lord is nigh.

Two Young Men Sell Themselves Into Slavery to Win the Lost!
Two Young Moravians Sell Selves Into Slavery to Win the Lost!!
Two young Moravian men in their early twenties became heavily burdened for the souls of Africans being sold into slavery. After approaching a West Indies plantation owner for permission to set up a mission outreach at his plantation, they were sorely disappointed. The plantation owner wanted nothing to do with Christianity and he strictly forbade any attempt to evangelize his slaves. So determined were they to reach the lost, the two young Moravians sold themselves into slavery and went to the dock to be shipped with new slaves to the planation. What a passion for lost souls that they were willing to pay the ultimate price! They counted their lives as nothing for the sake of the Master. What price are we willing to pay to reach lost humanity?
REVIVAL BREAKS OUT IN INDIA!!!!
REVIVAL FIRE FALLS ON INDIA!!!
In 1906, a great revival swept India. Thousands were brought into the Kingdom of God. Revival fire is falling again in India. God is keeping His promise "I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and daughters will prophesy."
THE GREAT REVIVAL AT GROUND ZERO IN NEW YORK, 1857
THE GREAT REVIVAL AT GROUND ZERO IN NEW YORK, 1857
In the shadow of Ground Zero in New York City, 150 years before the world-shaking 9/11 event took place, one man invited others to join him in prayer at a church on Fulton Street. Within months, 10,000 were standing outside of the church waiting to get into pray. A Great Awakening ensued and swept the nation. Over 1 million received salvation. That is the equivalent of 10 million being saved today. This Awakening then swept the world! Passengers on ships coming into New York harbor fell under the Presence of the Holy Spirit while the ships were 20 miles off the coast of America. Hundreds experienced salvation. This was one of the Greatest Awakenings in American history! It was called the "Prayer Revival."
